On Thursday we landed in The Grand Cayman. From the boat the view wasn't as beautiful as Haiti or Jamaica. The land is flat but the waters were gorgeous. We took a Captain Marvin's excursion to Stingray City.
They took us to two dive sites first and then to see the Stingrays. The water was a little rough but it was still awesome.
When we arrived at Stingray City there were a few other boats already there. The boat basically pulls up to a sand barge in the middle of the ocean and you just hop out. There were tons of Stingrays. It was a bit scary at first and then we got used to them. They gave us squid to feed the Rays. They swim up and just suck it out of your hands. They let everyone hold and kiss the Rays for seven years of good luck. They also gave us a back rub with the Rays. It was so much fun.
The excursion took the entire day. We had a few minutes to shop and then back on the boat.
We had dinner with our friends and then played some more cards in the Pharaoh’s lounge.
Every night we find a new friend in our room made out of towels.

Didn't stingrays kill that Crocodile hunter? You guys are hardcore!
How cool is that? I would LOVE to swim with the stingrays! I love the massages! :)
I can't believe you went stingray lovin. This is amazing.
Ok, when we went there we got no massages...I feel jipped. ;) We went well before good ol' Steve Erwin's untimely death or I might have been too afraid - you are brave. Grand Cayman was definitely the motivation for getting my SCUBA certification - now I just need to go back and actually dive there!
