Day 5 - The Grand Cayman

On Thursday we landed in The Grand Cayman. From the boat the view wasn't as beautiful as Haiti or Jamaica. The land is flat but the waters were gorgeous. We took a Captain Marvin's excursion to Stingray City.
They took us to two dive sites first and then to see the Stingrays. The water was a little rough but it was still awesome.

When we arrived at Stingray City there were a few other boats already there. The boat basically pulls up to a sand barge in the middle of the ocean and you just hop out. There were tons of Stingrays. It was a bit scary at first and then we got used to them. They gave us squid to feed the Rays. They swim up and just suck it out of your hands. They let everyone hold and kiss the Rays for seven years of good luck. They also gave us a back rub with the Rays. It was so much fun.

The excursion took the entire day. We had a few minutes to shop and then back on the boat.
We had dinner with our friends and then played some more cards in the Pharaoh’s lounge.
Every night we find a new friend in our room made out of towels.

Day 4 – Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Again we woke up to a beautiful view - Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

The first thing we did was get on a bus and head to Dolphin Cove to swim with the dolphins. It was so much fun. They made a video of us playing with the dolphins.
At Dolphin Cove they had food, shops, pirates and animals. We took pictures of everything. They then took us to Dunns River, where we climbed the falls. What a cool experience.

Every night we have dinner in this gorgeous three story dinning room. The food is so good. We order two appetizers, two main courses and all the deserts every time. Our waiter is very fun. His name is Putu.
After dinner they were having a Love and Marriage game and Lisa really wanted to be a player. They asked who wanted to play and those that wanted to play had to try out. They asked each couple to say “Oh baby, Oh baby, we want to play” The couple that the audience thought that said it the best got to play. Well, Lisa and I stood up on our chairs, shook our butts at everyone while saying the phrase and won. The game was really funny and we had a blast. We should have won but came in last place.

Tuesday - Day 3

Today was our first port of call. We visited the island of Haiti, specifically Labadee. It was so fun to see the island. It was just beautiful. We woke up, looked out our window and saw the lush green mountains.
We found a nice place to lay out and then went Kayaking. A guide took us to get a closer look at the local’s village and to show us some sites. We stopped at a beach, shopped a bit and then headed back to the main area.
After that we had some food and went snorkeling. It was so hot and humid in Labadee. It just seemed like we were melting. But it was nice to be out of the snow (we heard that it snowed again in Utah.)

The highlight of the trip was the Dragon’s Flight Zip Line. They gave us a little training and drove us up to the top of the tallest mountain. The jeeps were like the cars on the Indiana Jones ride. It was almost as fun taking the ride and it was going down the zip line.

We ended the night have an enjoyable dinner with some new friends and playing some more Phase 10. We are just having the time of our lives.

Monday - Day 2

Today we woke up and headed right to the gym. Lisa did yoga with Steph, I did the elliptical and Clay never woke up. The gym is in the front of the boat and over looks the ocean. It is just beautiful. We had your typical breakfast and hit the sun deck. It is so nice to just lie in the sun and read. I finished the New Moon today. Oh I just love Edward!
After baking in the sun we cooled off in the pool. It is so cool; they have a band play right next to the pool. The steal drums were making us want to dance. I suppressed the urge to dance but Lisa wanted to boogie. Below is a clip of her getting down.

We couldn’t find Steph and Clay all day and then finally we met up in the hot tub.
Tonight was formal night so we dress up and had an incredible meal. There was a Broadway show after and we loved it.

The day of the cruise

When we arrived in Miami we hopped on a shuttle to the Airport Marriott. We just love the Marriott. The rooms are always so nice. The next morning we got on another shuttle to the dock.

It took us about two and a half hours to board our massive ship, the Freedom of the Seas. These ships are amazing. Lisa and I have never done a cruise and we are in awe. We are already having such a great time.
We boarded the ship and right off the bat we had a safety drill. It was so hot and we had to be in our life vests FOR EVER…we were dieing.
We saw this cute car and thought of Morgan. Hum, I wonder why?
Our room is very nice. We were lucky to get a balcony. The view is beautiful.
Our first dinner was casual dress. The food already is wonderful. Lisa had Salmon and I had, of course, steak. They had a parade in the middle of the ship. It was fun.

We are traveling with our friends Clay and Stephanie. It is nice to get to know them more and make some memories together.

We played Phase 10 till one thirty in the morning. Tomorrow we are sailing all day. Can’t wait to just relax, read and take a dip in the pool.

The Virgin Blogger

Lisa and I just had our 15 year anniversary on May 8th. Fifteen wonderful years! It seems like time has gone by so fast. We decided to go on a cruise for this joyous occasion. On our way to Miami we had a layover in Houston. While enjoying the Crown Room, Lisa blogged for her first time. Doesn’t she look great?

Easter Eggstravaganza!

We had lots of fun choosing the colors and designs for our Easter eggs! We colored our eggs Easter morning before church. Easter Sunday. The kids looked cute in their new dresses and pink shirt for Christian. Taylor said it was a girl color!

We ate dinner at the Montgomery's after church. We each baked a ham and made our other favorites. Kimberly Potts brought her four children and darling Easter basket cupcakes. The Easter bunny came and the kids had a great egg hunt in our back yard. Taylor is trying to figure out if this is one of the eggs she colored. The kids had lots of fun and so did we. Remember the horrifying balls?
